As promised, tonight, Alex and I will shut down HN for a while, and add all the features we've been working on. Once they're up, we'll open HN back up, and welcome people to enjoy the *new* HN!
New Features

Global BBCodes
BBCodes can now be used anywhere on Hogwarts Now! Names, titles, comments, owls, and even petitions can now be enchanced with formatting! Please read the section about the updated rules, as we have placed some restrictions on BBCode use.
New BBCodes
In addition to Global BBCodes, we have also added some new BBCodes to give you more formatting options. To see a complete list, click the 'BBCodes' link under the 'Other' heading in any town!
HN Music Player
Now you can add to the thrilling Harry Potter experience! Located on the left side of the screen under the Hogwarts Now heading in any town, you can find the popup Hogwarts Now Music player, featuring every Harry Potter song featured in the movies! Now you can feel like Harry Potter while ridding the wizarding world of evil!
Note: Due to the potential for abuse, this feature is only available if you are logged in.
HN Live Support
A major addition to HN (as far as amount of setup needed) is the HN Live Support System. Tired of waiting for a reply to a petition? If a staff member is logged into the Live Support system, a message will appear on the Petition for Help page. Click the link in that message to be immediately connected with a staff member, and have your question answered!
Note: At times, staff may use the Live Support system to summon a player to a private chat for disciplinary purposes. Ignoring this message may result in severe punishment.
CAPTCHA on Petition page
Speaking of Petitions, tired of having to solve that CAPTCHA just to file a Petition? Now, logged-in players no longer have to do that extra step! However, the CAPTCHA is still required if you are logged out.
House Images in Chat
Instead of the boring text house identifiers (i.e. GRY, RAV, etc.), we now have images to easily identify members of each house. We're currently working to bring similar images for yearlings and the various positions of power in HN!
Site Rules Updated
The Site Rules have been updated to reflect the addition of all of these new features. Check them out by clicking the 'Site Rules' link under the 'Information' heading in any town.
As with any new features, there may unknown bugs present. If you discover a bug, please file a Petition with the details.
